Student profile

Madison Goodall-Monk

I am a second-year MA Film and Moving Image Studies student, currently in the process of writing my thesis. I had the opportunity in 2021 and 2022 to work for a Montreal-based non-profit production company (Spectrum Productions) who were committed to advancing the social, cultural, and economic inclusion of individuals on the autism spectrum. This job heavily inspired my interest in accessibility and equity in film and digital media, which I hope to expand on as my MA program progresses. I have taken an interest in the way digital media has come to technologize time in the workplace, and in my thesis, I would like to further theorize what negative consequences this change has on disabled, neurodiverse, and/or impaired communities, and what this means for the future of work.
