Concordia Laptop Orchestra (CLOrk) is an electroacoustic ensemble designed as an open platform for all forms of collective improvisation—sonic, musical, visual, kinetic, somatic, cognitive, parametric, networked, acoustic, narrative, gamified, and anything else one can imagine. It was created by Dr. Tsabary in 2011 and has since collaborated with dozens of renowned artists, including Ariane Moffatt, QUADr, Orchestre symphonique de l'Isle, Chris Chafe, among many others. CLOrk knows no stylistic limitation or technological boundary, and is held together only by the principles of collective imagining, the love of sound, an inclusive ground-up co-creation, celebration of diversity, and respect of all its members and guests.

This audiovisual CLOrk performance takes place on two planes. It is delivered remotely to Montreal Connect participants via a YouTube stream, while simultaneously taking place physically at Concordia University’s 4th Space to unsuspecting passer-bys on Maisonneuve O. St. The performance will be followed by a panel with its performing members.
