Concordia’s Circus research team, led by Patrick Leroux (Associate Dean of Research in the Faculty of Arts and Science and a Professor in both the Department of English and Département d’études françaises), has created a new online mapping platform and project. Officially launching during Montréal Complètement Cirque’s virtual international marketplace industry event (MICC) on July 8th, the new open-source, interactive platform invites performers from the circus community around the world to share and map their contemporary circus stories, historical stories about particular circus sites, and COVID-19 related stories.

Join us at Virtual 4TH SPACE on July 9 at 3:30 p.m., 24-hours into the launch, to connect with the Circus research team and international moderators from Canada, the USA, France, England, Mexico, Brazil, and other countries, as they review and share emerging storytelling trends on the new mapping platform. Want to participate and submit to the map, but have questions? This is your chance to check-in with the team and hear more about this evolving and timely memory-mapping project! Ready to submit your story? Fill out this form, and join us on July 9 to share it live on Zoom!

How can you participate? Register for our Zoom event here. You can also follow along through a live-stream on 4TH SPACE’s Facebook page
