Dr. David Jones
Former Chief Public Health Officer of Canada
In his workshop, through a mix of small group exercises and general discussion, Dr. Jones will explore the nature of leadership, styles of leadership and the ways in which context might demand different forms of leadership.
Based on his own experience, including his position as Chief Public Health Officer of Canada, Jones will discuss how important it is to better understand the way we see and understand the world, in order to properly assess all aspects of pressing and important problems with wide-reaching impacts (such as managing responses to a pandemic). Drawing on lessons learned, Jones will dissect the pandemic by digging deep into the many important considerations and strategies for maximizing positive outcomes, including risk communications and management, building partnerships, and impacting policy decisions.
