Market Research for SME Startups
Course Code: CENT 1100
Ever see a business and say to yourself, "I give them about 6 months before they go under"? If so, chances are, they just didn't do their homework. Being successful in business means asking all the right questions at the right time... like before you fail. In this course, you'll learn the fundamentals of market research as they apply to any small business idea, like a restaurant, an accounting firm, a supply store, a community project or even a non-profit organization. You'll validate your business idea through market research, develop a market offering and build the elements of a draft business plan, all with ongoing feedback from your teacher, a seasoned business pro. Maximize your chances of success by taking this course and the others offered in the SME Entrepreneurship pathway.Note:
This is the first course in the SME Entrepreneurship Diploma pathway. It is not for high-technology businesses that need extensive validation of their basic concept. Note: Students with a high-tech project should examine the Start up Your High-Tech Business course description.
Please note that this course will be phased out in the 2022-2023 academic year.
