Registration deadline May 5 for Concordia undergraduate students.
Limited spaces available for Concordia graduate students (3 credit).
Priority given to students in INDY program.

Our Summer Institute seeks to extend the Simone de Beauvoir Institute’s academic values to as wide an audience as possible. We strive to provide an innovative, learning solution not only to students, but also to all individuals who share a love of learning and an understanding of the personal and professional value of an education.

The Summer Institute is open to:

  • Students (undergraduate, graduate, or CEGEP, from Concordia or other universities)
  • Adult learners (not for credit)

The Summer Institute lasts only a week in order to fit the schedule of many working adults; the Institute provides an occasion for individuals who are seeking an academic enrichment opportunity or who wish to take a course that would be of value for personal and/or professional advancement.

How to register

Registration for Concordia University undergraduate students

Concordia University undergraduate students register through the normal registration process. The cost is calculated per credit for students who are Quebec resident or non-Quebec residents.

Registration for Concordia University graduate students

Concordia University graduate students register through the normal registration process. The cost is calculated per credit for students who are Quebec resident or non-Quebec residents.

Note: MA and PhD students may register for the Summer Institute and get 3 credits. Specific instructions, requirements and evaluation details are found here.

Registration for non-Concordia undergraduate or graduate students registered in a Quebec university

Students who are coming from other Quebec universities may take part in the Summer Institute thanks to the Inter-University Agreement (INTU or BCI for Bureau de Coopération Inter-universitaire). Only students in good academic standing in their own university can submit an INTU request.

Registration for other students (CEGEP, out-of-province and international) who are participating but not for university credits

Follow instructions for the general public.

All adult learners (including CEGEP, out-of-province and international students) interested in participating in the Summer Institute but not interested in getting course credits may register for the Summer Institute as they would a conference. There are limited spaces for the public, and a non-credit/ $250 CAD registration fee applies.

Registration requires that the applicant fill out a Summer Institute Registration Form. Fees are in Canadian dollars and payable by Visa or MasterCard.
