A little history

The Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research provides leadership and training in methods of analysis for a diverse and expanding social science research community.

Established in 1962, ICPSR is a membership-based data archive and training facility. ICPSR provides leadership and training in data access, curation, and methods of analysis for a diverse and expanding social science research community. Today, more than 700 universities, government agencies, and other institutions world-wide are members of ICPSR.

World renowned training program

The ICPSR Summer Program has been in existence since 1963 and it is widely recognized as the world's foremost training facility in research methodology and statistical analysis for the social and behavioral sciences.

The ICPSR Summer Program headquarters are located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on the University of Michigan campus. But, three- to five-day workshops are also offered at a number of additional locations.

Ongoing Partnership

The ICPSR Summer Program now offers workshops at Concordia University, during the WSSR.

This means that those who are interested in learning about methods of systematic analysis for their course work, theses, dissertations, or research can benefit from the experience and expertise of this longstanding training facility right here in Canada!

Important note: ICPSR workshops are not subject to the same fee structure as our regular WSSR workshops. Click on the registration links above for more information.
