Dr. Robert Adcock, Assistant Professor George Washington University

Robert Adcock is a Professorial Lecturer at American University's School of International Service. His research focuses on the politics of knowledge, the transaltantic history of the social sciences and their relationship to liberalism, and the philosophy and methods of the social sciences, especially qualitative and interpretive methods.

He is the author of Liberalism and the Emergence of American Political Science: A Transatlantic Tale (Oxford UP, 2014), was the co-editor of Modern Political Science: Anglo-American Exchanges since 1880 (Princeton UP, 2007), has authored or co-authored articles in the American Political Science Review, History of Political Thought, the Journal of Theoretical Politics and elsewhere, and edited the newsletter of the Qualitative and Multi-Method Research organized section of the American Political Science Association from Fall 2011 to Fall 2014.
