Michael Ferguson

Auditor General of Canada


Michael Ferguson was appointed Auditor General of Canada in November 2011.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Ferguson served one year as the Deputy Minister of Finance and Secretary to the Board of Management for the Province of New Brunswick.

Mr. Ferguson was the Auditor General of New Brunswick from 2005 to 2010, and from 2000 to 2005 he was the New Brunswick provincial Comptroller.

He is a past president of the New Brunswick Institute of Chartered Accountants and a member of the Public Sector Accounting Board.

Past Workshops and Events

On February 5th at 5:30pm, Michael Ferguson, the Auditor General of Canada, Mary Dawson, Canada's Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner, and Martin Patriquin, the Quebec bureau chief for Maclean's Magazine, joined us to explore the timely and pressing question of ethics and integrity in the Canadian government.
