Dr. Guy Peters

Maurice Falk Professor of Government,
University of Pittsburgh


B. Guy Peters is Maurice Falk Professor of Government at the University of Pittsburgh.  He received his PhD from Michigan State University, and has received four honorary degrees from European universities.  He is founding president of the International Public Policy Association, and also the founding editor of Governance and of the European Political Science Review.  Guy Peters has also been a consultant for a number of national governments and for international organizations such as UNICEF, OECD, the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.

Among his recent publications are Comparative Governance (Cambridge University Press), Pursuing Policy Coordination (University Press  of Kansas), and An Advanced Introduction to Public Policy (Edward Elgar).  His continuing research is in governance theorym institutional theory, and comparative policy analysis.
