Diane Labelle is a Two-Spirited person of Iroquois ancestry. She has worked in education for over 35 years, as teacher, consultant, administrator and workshop presenter. She has M.Arts in Political Science, and post-graduate degree in Education and Special Education, and Management. She enjoys hosting events and giving talks on the topics of Indigenous Education and the Two Spirit.
Ms. Labelle has been active in the and LGBTTSS rights movement since her arrival in Montreal in 1976. She presently works as the Director of The First Nation Regional Adult Education Center located in Kahnawake, where she lives with her partner of 27 years, her two children and her granddaughter.
