Student Emergency
Relief Fund

Help our students at a time when they need it the most.

Help temper the impact of the pandemic on our students

The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has disrupted our daily lives. This public health crisis has disrupted our lives and will have ripple effects for months.

Many students have found themselves unemployed and may be unable to pay for food or rent. Plus, anxiety about COVID-19 is putting students’ mental health and wellness at risk.

As we weather this storm together, we must keep an eye on those who are most vulnerable — so we are asking for your support. Currently, our greatest area of need is support for the economic, physical and mental well-being of our students.

Concordia recently announced the launch of a $500,000 COVID-19 Emergency Student Relief Fund to help alleviate economic hardships.

If you are interested and able, we are grateful for contributions at all levels.

About the fund

The COVID-19 Emergency Student Relief Fund will provide financial assistance through the form of a one time only, non-repayable bursary.

Students who unexpectedly find themselves with urgent financial needs that cannot be addressed through other forms of government financial support are eligible to apply.

Please visit the Concordia COVID-19 resource page for more information.

Your support provides comfort in a time of crisis

Together, we can help those in our community who are most vulnerable, and minimize the interruption our students face as they continue to study and learn.

Now is a time to build, and rely on, the strength of our community. Wherever possible, please help us keep Concordia’s support network strong.
