Dear <FNAME> I hope you are enjoying your summer. While it feels like it always goes by too quickly, it is exciting to know that we are also closer to the start of our fall season. With this newsletter I hope to keep alumni and friends of the program, along with the families of our student athletes, up to date with current news and future events. If you are new to this newsletter — welcome! |

New uniforms We have signed an agreement to have both teams outfitted by Nike. Keep your eyes peeled for the official announcement of our uniform reveal in the coming weeks. Energizing preseason Both teams will travel to upstate New York to play against the men's and women's teams of Saint Lawrence University and Potsdam State University. These matches are great opportunities for our athletes to prep in advance of the start of the season, develop new skills, encourage further team bonding and create meaningful memories. This trip is the direct result of donations received over the past year, so thank you to those who have contributed to the program. Save the date: Sunday, October 16 Get your old teammates together and cheer on our teams as they play against UQTR (Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières). To make this game extra special, soccer alumni, donors to the program and families of our athletes will be invited onto the field to cheer on our athletes as they run in at the start of the game. Reach out to your former teammates now and stay tuned for the invitation. Alumni game, spring 2023 We are considering holding an alumni game next spring. Let us know if you are interested in taking part. |
Team update |

We expect our veteran group of athletes to lead the team and bring some of the best success our team has seen in a while. We are equally excited about our talented incoming class and we are confident that they will add quality to our group straight away. See the full list of 2022 Stinger recruits and read about two of our most recent additions to the team:
Thanks to the support of donors to the program, we were able to:
Our home opener is August 30 against Bishop’s — check out our complete game schedule. If you attend our games, please stop by and say hi. |
Alumni, family and friends engagement |

As I mentioned above, donations improve our program and provide opportunities that student athletes can take with them when they graduate. Should you wish to support your favourite team, gifts can be made anytime to either of the women’s or the men’s teams. You can expect another edition of this newsletter in November. Until then, watch for our uniform reveal and invitation to the game in October. Best, Greg Sutton |
