Kenneth M. Brooks
Widely recognized as a thought leader in his field, Kenneth M. Brooks has over 25 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions as well as restructuring. A partner and senior vice president at Ernst & Young (EY) Orenda Corporate Finance in Montreal, Brooks’ main focus is advising companies within the manufacturing sector, providing them with a range of services relating to mergers, acquisitions, divestiture, restructuring and joint ventures.
Brooks graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree from the John Molson School of Business (JMSB) in 1999 — the same year he joined EY — and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in 1991. He worked at a boutique firm full-time while pursuing his studies.
A runner-up at the 1998 edition of the International Case Competition (ICC), where he later returned as a judge, Brooks joined the board of directors of the JMSB ICC in 2013 and later became its chair, in 2015. In 2016, he became a member of JMSB’s advisory board, helping promote relationships between the JMSB and the business community. In 2018, he was appointed to the university’s ultimate authority, its board of governors.
