THE SHIFT LEARNING COMMUNITY
Advancing social transformation through sharing and exchange
The SHIFT Learning Community is composed of diverse individuals from across Concordia and the greater Montreal who:
- Drive work within their neighbourhood, community, or institution towards justice, equity, and sustainability;
- Want to learn from others about how to increase the socially transformative impact of their work;
- Want to contribute to collective learning about how community-scale initiatives can bring about systems-level change.
All members of project teams that receive funding from SHIFT are invited to join the SHIFT Learning Community.
SHIFT regularly hosts networking, relationship-building and skill-sharing events for members of the Learning Community to connect. We also partner with experts within the SHIFT network to offer workshops on specific topics of interest to our members.
SHIFT offers a six-part workshop series for members of the Learning Community who want to expand the socially transformative impact of their work by building a deeper understanding of systems change theory and practice.
Learning from experts in the community and from one another, participants in the Horizons Learning Journey will take ownership of systems change theories as they support and challenge each other in activating them in their work.
What to expect

- Learning from experts in the community and from one another, participants in the Horizons Learning Journey will take ownership of systems change theories as they support and challenge each other in activating them in their work.

- A supportive community committed to non-judgmental listening, the wisdom of lived experience and diversity.
