I disrupt gender stereotypes by fusing art and science.
For me, as a practicing artist, it was astronomy. I connected with the natural beauty of the night sky, and the cosmos drew me in.
Now, I study how art grounded in science can spark a reconnection to the sciences among women and girls. I’m the official art/science researcher at the SETI Institute, and I run the successful Visual Voice Gallery that focuses on art in dialogue with science.
My name is Bettina Forget, and I’m a master’s student in Art Education at Concordia.
