If you’re struggling to name five or even any at all, don’t worry. Most people do. You see, while your brain has a built-in negativity bias that makes it easy for you to spot your weaknesses, it generally isn’t well equipped when it comes to identifying your strengths. And yet research shows that students who focus on their strengths improve their academic performance, the quality of their relationships and even their overall wellbeing.
Using your strengths mindfully will help you hit what psychologists call a state of “flow”. That’s when you’re completely absorbed in what you’re doing, energized by the process and left with a real sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
This Strengths and Mindfulness workshop can help you identify your own strengths and get familiar with them. Through some mindfulness exercises, you will develop tools to help you choose and pull from the appropriate strength for each situation, helping you thrive academically, personally and professionally.
