INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS

Program format

The program is composed of two main components: a preparatory workshop followed by an on-site company tour.

Preparatory Workshop for Students 

  • Hosted at Concordia
  • Facilitated by a Career Advisor from Concordia’s Career Advising and Professional Success
  • Introduces students to the basics of Canadian networking practices and the Canadian work culture
  • Addresses expectation management of visits and local career prospects

On-site Company Tour 

  • On-site guided tour of the industry partner’s office(s)
  • Presentation of the company, its working culture and hiring prospects
  • Ideal industry partners will have an inclusive workplace culture that promotes creativity, diversity, innovation, and entrepreneurship in their workplace.

Preparatory Workshop for Industry Visit

Come to the preparatory workshop to learn about Canadian working culture, about FREE upcoming company tours to Canadian workplaces this Fall semester, get prepared to impress them and make the most out of the visits.

Registration policy

Visits can only accommodate a limited number of students. The selection process is on a best match and first come first serve basis. Once we exceed our capacity, you will be automatically placed on the waiting list. 

Cancelation policy

If your availability has changed, you must cancel your registration 5 business days before the visit so we can offer a spot to the next person on the waiting list. If you forget to cancel within 5 business days, you must justify your absence via email to iso.assistant@concordia.ca or you will be banned from participating in future industry visits.
