The School of Graduate Studies recognizes that supervisors play a central role in the success of cotutelle doctoral students’ academic experiences. The Cotutelle Seed Funding program is designed to cover some of the expenses of the international research which is the focus of the cotutelle program. It is aimed at supervisors who promote the cotutelle program to their doctoral student and collaborate with international institutions.
$5,000 (per cotutelle student). Funding is limited and will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis.
Unspent funds at the end of the period will be returned to the University and accounts closed. No extensions will be provided.
For Concordia University faculty members who will be supervising a full-time cotutelle doctoral student.
Eligible expenses include:
Travel for field work and data collection and meetings at partner universities
Supplies and small pieces of equipment, such as software or computers, if well-justified
Student salaries, bursaries and travel expenses
Note: Once the doctoral student cotutelle agreement has been approved by both institutions, the School of Graduate Studies will make the funds available to the Concordia University supervisor.
