Concordia Student Union (CSU)
Health and Dental Plan

All Quebec and out-of-province students registered for more than three credits are automatically enrolled in the CSU Health and Dental Plan. Depending on the plan, coverage can include medical, vision, dental, and travel insurance. Visit ihaveaplan.ca for full details.

Health Care Information for Out-of-Province Students

If you are a Canadian out-of-province student covered elsewhere, you will need to notify your provincial health authority that you are studying in Quebec in order to retain health coverage while studying at Concordia. Certain coverage restrictions apply depending on your province so please consult the Health Services website to find out more details: health.concordia.ca.

Health Care Information for International Students

Immigration Quebec regulations require that all International students be covered by a health insurance plan that meets government standards while living in Quebec. In keeping with government directives, Concordia has adopted a compulsory health insurance plan for all Concordia International students. The Concordia University Health Insurance Plan for International Students is a comprehensive health and accident insurance plan at a competitive cost. For detailed information, visit the International Students Office website, supportservices.concordia.ca/iso/healthinsurance.

Opting Out

If you are covered under another private health care plan (such as your parent’s plan) check with your provider to ensure that you are covered even if you study out of province. You can change your coverage or opt out of the CSU health plan online (during the change-of-coverage period) at ihaveaplan.ca.
