Replacement diplomas

Replacement diplomas are issued at the graduate's request when the original diploma has been lost or destroyed or when the graduate requests that his or her legal name be changed on the diploma.

Although a replacement diploma is as equally valid and legal as the original diploma, it is not identical to the original. The replacement diploma includes the phrase, "replaces the original diploma issued to the recipient". It also includes the date that the replacement diploma was issued as well as the date that the original degree was conferred.

Fees

The fee for a replacement diploma is $75 (CDN). You can choose to pick up your replacement diploma at the Birks Student Service Centre or request to have it mailed. There is an additional fee of $25 (CDN) for registered mailing.

Payment may be made by certified cheque or money order.
