Attendance
In order to graduate, you must first apply to graduate by filling out the online Graduation Application Form before the deadline.
The application is available on the MyConcordia.ca portal under:
Student Services > Graduation Application Form
Attending the convocation ceremony
If you wish to attend your convocation ceremony, please follow the steps below.
Clear your student account
- Check your account and pay any outstanding fees, including library fees. You cannot attend Convocation or receive your diploma if you owe the University money.
- Clear your account via the Portal or in person at the Birks Student Service Centre McConnell Building, (Library Building) LB-185.
- Deadline for paying fees: Monday, May 27, 2013
Check your graduation approval
- Look for the message "Degree Conferred" on your transcript (on your MyConcordia portal) on Monday, May 27, 2013

Pick up your marshalling card and gown at Gown Distribution
- Pick up your marshalling card and gown (or reserve your gown) in the Atrium of the McConnell Building (LB Building), 1400 De Maisonneuve Blvd. West.
- Please bring your student ID card or ID number.

Attend your ceremony
- Arrive 60 minutes beforeyour ceremony (the time you should arrive is indicated on your marshalling card). This allows enough time to place all students in the correct sequence. Please be punctual and remember to bring your marshalling card!
- The ceremony will take approximately two and a half hours. Out of courtesy for all graduates, please remain for the entire ceremony.
- Although we do not issue guest tickets, we ask that students limit the number of guests to four. Please take note that seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

I would like to receive my diploma by registered mail
- Clear your student account
- Check your account and pay any outstanding fees, including library fees. You cannot attend Convocation or receive your diploma if you owe the University money.
- Clear your account via the Portal or in person at the Birks Student Service Centre McConnell Building, (Library Building) LB-185.
- Deadline for paying fees: Monday, May 27, 2013
- Check your graduation approval
- Look for the message "Degree Conferred" on your transcript (on your MyConcordia portal) on Monday, May 27, 2013

- Fill out the mail request form
- Fill out and print the request form (click HERE to access the PDF form).
- Mail the request form and the mailing fee (mailing address is on the form).
- Diplomas will be sent by registered mail beginning two weeks after the Convocation ceremonies

- The person picking up your diploma will need written authorization signed by you listing your ID number and type of degree (e.g., B.A. Major History).
