Research units
By providing a stimulating and collaborative environment, Research Units contribute significantly to the academic life of the University in terms of research output, visibility, and overall positioning. The University currently houses a large number of Research Units - Centres, Institutes, Groups, Platforms, etc. Some are established organizations with significant strengths of intellectual property and critical masses of research capacity while others are temporary groups which are formed for the purpose of a specific project. Research Units operate in complementarity with the University’s academic department structure and provide unique training opportunities for students.
