Neil Brett, PhD
Neil R. Brett, PhD, is a Research Associate III with the Real-World Evidence team of Evidera in Montreal, Quebec. He is responsible for scientifically leading studies from conception and design through to dissemination and publication. The focus of his current work is on retrospective chart review studies and cross-sectional cohort studies. Dr. Brett has extensive experience developing and overseeing interventional and non-interventional studies. He has experience with multiple therapeutic areas including musculoskeletal health, immunology, gastroenterology, dermatology, pediatrics and obesity management. He has also acted as expert scientific support for Health Canada and has been involved in international health policy collaborations. Further, Dr. Brett has regularly acted as a peer reviewer for medical and nutrition journals and for conference abstract submissions. Dr. Brett currently has 17 manuscript publications and had published in some of the top medical and nutrition journals including The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Obesity Reviews and Advances in Nutrition. He has been a first author or co-author on more than 40 abstracts presented at national and international conferences. Dr. Brett has won international research awards including the American Society for Nutrition Clinical Emerging Leader Award. He has also taught university courses on physiology, biochemistry, research methods and nutrition. Prior to joining Evidera, Dr. Brett was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Ryerson University.
