"Assaulting Cultural Heritage: ISIS's Fight to Destroy Diversity in Iraq and Syria" is the theme of The Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies' academic conference designed to educate the public on the significance of assaults on pluralism. The conference also promotes greater community engagement and raises awareness of the threat to cultural pluralism posed by violent extremist movements such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda."
