Join us for this presentation of undergraduate research on Queer performance and digital culture.

In an era in which the performance of identity is increasingly shaped by digital networks, these emerging scholars consider visual case studies of online cultures, and how networked media impact gender and sexualities. These networks are not themselves natural or neutral, but have a role in shaping how digital representations are constructed. Just as offline social structures shape how identities are embodied and performed, these online ‘codes’ come to shape how genders and sexualities are performed in the digital age.
