CBC Morningside Documents Collection

This collection contains 76 boxes of detailed program documents from this long-running daily CBC Radio program, dating from the early 1980s to the late 1990s.  Documents include show lineups, edited scripts, research records, producer notes, budget details, talent information and technical directions, as well as 36 boxes of letters from listeners comprising comments on a range of program topics.

Morningside was a nationally-broadcast radio program, running five days a week from September, 1976 to May, 1997, one of the CBC radio network's most popular shows.  The program is closely associated with legendary broadcaster Peter Gzowski, who hosted the program from 1982 until its cancellation.
