Certificate in Adult Education
The Certificate in Adult Education is a 30 credit undergraduate program, designed to provide formal instruction to practitioners and professional adult educators in a variety of fields. Examples are community animators, industrial and business training specialists, consultants, health care educators, coordinators of in-service education, volunteer services coordinators, or others whose function is to help adults to learn. Applicants with relevant prior working experience need not have a CEGEP diploma.
Credits earned in this program are officially recognized by the Quebec's Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport for teacher classification.
The program in Adult Education are appropriate for individuals who work in the following fields or who have aspirations to do so:
- Business and industrial trainers
- Community animators
- Coordinators of In-service education and training
- Coordinators of volunteer services
- Health care educators
- Instructors
- Private consultants in education and training
- Teachers
- or others whose function is to help adults to learn.
Certificate in Adult Education — 30 credits
Designed for people who are actively involved in some area of adult education or who have the equivalent of one year's experience in the field, either as leaders, trainers, volunteer workers or administrators in educational institutions, business, industry, government or community organizations.
