Department of Biology

The Department offers a broad education in the fundamentals of the biological sciences. With a variety of programs to choose from and an opportunity to conduct original, independent research in the areas of Behavioural Ecology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Conservation Biology, Entomology, Fish Ecology, Genetics, Genomics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Molecular Ecology, Plant Biology, and Wildlife Ecology, our students can truly expand their horizons in the field of biology.

Our Department is located in the state-of-the-art Richard J. Renaud Science Complex on the grounds of the beautiful Loyola Campus. We have spacious undergraduate teaching facilities and some of the finest research laboratories in the world.
