There are many good reasons to study German. The 33-credit Minor in German program gives students majoring in another discipline a valid and adequate background in language studies. Courses offered include translation, civilization and German for business purposes.

BA Honours in German — 60 credits

BA Major in German — 42 credits

Admission to the Honours and Major is suspended for 2012–13.

Minor in German — 33 credits

Designed for students already enrolled in a program at Concordia University.

All students with a background in the language must contact the Department to arrange to take the appropriate language placement test. The Department reserves the right to transfer a student to a higher-level language course if it is deemed that the course for which the student has registered is not appropriate for the extent of his or her knowledge of the language.
