Modern Arabic Language and Culture

The Department of Classics, Modern Languages and Linguistics (CMLL) offers two 30-credit programs in the Modern Standard Arabic Language and Culture: the Minor and the Certificate. Both programs aim to provide minimum language competency in Modern Standard Arabic and, through the inclusion of courses on culture, literature and topics offered by other departments (history, religion, and political science), a broad overview of Arabic culture. Students with advanced Modern Standard Arabic skills are not eligible for admission to either the Minor or the Certificate program.

Minor in Modern Arabic Language and Culture — 30 credits

Certificate in Modern Arabic Language and Culture — 30 credits
