Admission Requirements for Communication and Cultural Studies

Quota Program — Entry is competitive and selective, and the number of qualified applicants may exceed the number of places available. Applicants who meet the stated minimum requirements are not guaranteed admission to these programs. Closing dates for applications are stringently applied. Departmental recommendation needed.

Admission Procedure
Step 1 (By March 1):- Submit the online application.
- Complete the separate Communication Studies application, which is available at coms.concordia.ca/programs/applications.html and includes a summary sheet and two assessment forms.
- Submit the following documents directly to the Department of Communication Studies:
- Transcripts*
- Letter of Intent*
- Summary Sheet
- Two Academic Assessment forms.
- A Short Essay
Step 2
Dossiers will be evaluated and qualified candidates will be invited for an interview, normally in April. At the interview candidates will be required to:
- discuss any item regarding their file;
- read and discuss a brief quotation with the committee*;
- answer questions about their portfolio*.
