Computer Science (Minor)

The minor in Computer Science is designed to meet the growing demand of computer-literate professionals while complementing another program at Concordia. This 24-credit Minor is only available to students enrolled in degree programs outside of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.

Minor in Computer Science — 24 credits

The Minor consists of the following courses:

  • COMP 228 - System Hardware
  • COMP 232 - Mathematics for Computer Science
  • COMP 248 - Object-Oriented Programming I
  • COMP 249 - Object-Oriented Programming II
  • COMP 352 - Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Computer Science Electives (9 credits)

Admission Requirements

Any deficiencies in Mathematics prerequisites must be completed prior to beginning Computer Science courses. Students are encouraged to apply for the Minor at the time of application for admission to the university.
