A safe and happy work environment is the goal of every unit leader. The Centre for Academic Leadership has designed a presentation for academic leaders to help them in better understanding the ins and outs of Concordia’s Policy on Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Psychological Harassment.
This important topic can be hard to communicate to employees; this presentation offers the chance to better:
• Sensitize and educate academic leaders on how to prevent harassing behaviours in their units.
• Understand how to protect each staff and faculty member’s right to dignity and respect.
• Understand the support and redress offered by the university to staff and faculty members who believe they have been subjected to harassing behaviour.
• Understand the complaint resolution process.
When: Thursday, April 11, 2013, from 12 to 2 p.m. (Lunch will be served at 12 p.m.; presentation will start at 12:30 p.m.).
Where: Room MB-2.130, John Molson School of Business Building (1450 Guy St.), Sir George Williams Campus
Register by Wednesday, April 4 with Silvana Novembre at silvana.novembre@concordia.ca.
This presentation will be facilitated by Louise J. Shiller and Andrée-Anne Bouchard.
Shiller holds a master’s degree in Education and a graduate certificate in Educational Leadership. She is the director and senior advisor in the Office of Rights and Responsibilities. Shiller has worked for the Department of Youth Protection and several school boards.
