Can design -- be it building or landscape architecture, object, graphic, interaction or gaming design -- be 'critical' in its practice or in its production in the 'real world'? Design as a Critical Practice: Re-designing Design, a new series of lectures, gathers a diverse range of international and local practitioners, all of whom in some way engage the nature of design as a form of expanded practice.
On April 10, the Department of Design and Computation Arts welcomes Albena Yaneva of the University of Manchester’s School of Environment and Development and the Manchester Architecture Research Centre. The lecture is co-sponsored by the Université de Montréal’s Laboratoire d'étude de l'architecture potentielle.
When: Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 4:30 p.m.
Where: Room EV 6.720, Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (1515 Ste-Catherine St. W.), Sir George Williams Campus
