The Centre for Academic Leadership is offering a presentation on Financial Accountability and Policies to academic leaders, facilitated by Linda Campione, director of Accounting Operations and System in Financial Services at Concordia University.
The presentation’s learning objectives are to:
• Understand the responsibility associated with academic leaders’ signing authority for operating and research accounts.
• Acquire skills to search for relevant financial account information on the Millennium platform.
• Understand the Policy on Travel and Other Allowable Expenses (VPF-3).
• Understand how the Purchasing Policy (CFO-20) and the Policy on Computer Provisioning (VPS-32) should be applied.
The presentation will be given twice, once on each campus.
When: Wednesday, February 13, 2013, from 12to 2 p.m.
Where: Room MB-2.130, John Molson School of Business Building (1450 Guy St.), Sir George Williams Campus
When: Thursday, February 14, 2013, from 12 to 2 p.m.
Where: Room AD-307, Administration Building, Loyola Campus (7141 Sherbooke St. W.)
Campione managed the implementation of a new version of the Banner software. She came to Concordia with a solid experience in project and accounting operations, having held similar positions at Future Electronics for several years. Campione holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia.
The number of participants is limited for this event. Registration will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. To register for one of the presentations, inform Silvana Novembre at silvana.novembre@concordia.ca no later than February 6, 2013.
The Centre for Academic Leadership assumes the full cost for this event. While no cost will be charged to participants, it would be important to notify the Centre of any cancellation at least 7 days prior to the event.
This presentation is specifically designed for Academic Leaders. Other similar events, designed for managers and staff members may be offered by the Department of Human Resources.
