Jared Gardner, professor of English and Film and director of Popular Culture Studies at the Ohio State University, discusses the status of comics in the digital age.
Gardner is author of Projections: Comics and the History of Twenty-first century Storytelling (Stanford, 2012) and The Rise and Fall of Early American Magazine Culture (Illinois, 2012). His essays introducing the Library of America publications of Skippy, The Gumps and Baron Bean have also recently appeared or are due to appear soon.
