Diane V. Malbin speaks about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder

This is a public lecture presented by the Department of Psychology. The presentation will start by considering, "What if the brain has something to do with behaviours?" 

The discussion will involve why good parenting and professional strategies are often ineffective, leading to the experience of “no solution.” The closing of the lecture will centre around a beginning based on a shift:  From learning theory as the prevailing paradigm across systems to neurobehavioural theory and first steps toward a paradigm shift with implications for parents, professionals, program design, policy and legislation.
