
Eldad Tsabary, Department of Music lecturer and founder of the Concordia Laptop Orchestra (CLOrk), has made a name for himself on the international telematics scene as both a performer and a researcher. His work includes numerous talks and publications, including a recent book chapter entitled "EA Aural Training in Sound Musicianship" (Cambridge Scholars 2012).
Tsabary will discuss laptop orchestra performance based on a versatile piece-by-piece approach and group composition, with focus on musical parameters and soundpainting conduction. His talk will cover telematics and network music making, human machine interface (HMI), and interactivity, and will feature live demonstrations by CLOrk.
