Prescription drug insurance coverage is compulsory for all Quebec residents regardless of whether they take medications. If you are not covered through a spouse’s employee or parent’s private insurance plan, you must register for the public plan administered by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ).
Students should note the Concordia Student Union health plan only covers any outstanding portion of a claim for prescription drugs after it has first been submitted to either a private plan or to the public plan administered by RAMQ.
Several details could affect the type of coverage you need, such as your age, whether you study full-or part-time, are living with your parents or a spouse, or are working part-time while you study.
To find how this applies to you, complete the RAMQ online questionnaire by March 31 and you could win $500. You will not be asked to provide any confidential information (name, address, health insurance number, etc.)
Complete the questionnaire now.
