In the wake of several phishing scams at Concordia (please see latest below), we wish to remind everyone to please delete any such emails immediately.
Phishers send out mass emails to targeted recipients with the hopes of at least a few recipients replying with their personal information. Unfortunately, Concordia is often targeted due to the large number of account holders.
Concordia University will never ask for your personal information by phone, email, or URL unless it is in response to a support request you have initiated. Concordia University will never ask for your password, nor should businesses, banks, and other institutions. Please take the time to read our email phishing FAQ.
If you clicked on the URL or replied to a phishing email with your username and password, please change your email account password immediately. If you use those credentials for multiple accounts it is recommended that you change the password for each account.
If you are ever unsure of the authenticity of an email, or if you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the IITS Service Desk at (514) 848-2424, ext. 7613 or email help@concordia.ca.
