Adjustments to Guy-Metro Building HVAC system

Occupants asked to move personal items from heating/cooling units

From October 13 to 22, a series of overnight adjustments will be made to the heating /cooling units recently installed in the Guy-Metro Building.

In order to facilitate the work, GM Building occupants are asked to clear personal items (plants, picture frames, lamps, etc.) from the tops of these units, as well as from a two-foot radius around them.

Please note that desks and other heavy furniture will be displaced by a moving crew around 4:30 p.m. on the night of work and will be repositioned back when the work is completed. The displacement of furniture will not exceed two feet and will not be necessary in most cases. Contractors will be escorted at all times by a security agent.

These adjustments will proceed according to the following schedule:

  • Saturday, October 13:  Furniture in offices on the north and west sides will be moved, if required
  • Tuesday, October 16:  Furniture in offices on the east and south sides will be moved, if required
  • Thursday, October 18:  Furniture in offices on the north and west sides will be replaced to original locations
  • Monday, October 22:  Furniture in offices on the east and south sides will be replaced
