Beginning September 10, the city’s ongoing roadwork and repaving along De Maisonneuve Boulevard will see the boulevard closed to car and bike traffic for the next three weeks. During this time, traffic along Mackay Street will be reserved for local traffic in two directions: north of De Maisonneuve via Sherbrooke Street and south of De Maisonneuve from Ste-Catherine Street.
The bike path is completely closed between Bishop and Guy streets throughout this portion of the work, with cyclists required to walk their bicycles along the sidewalk on the south side of De Maisonneuve Boulevard.
Finally, as of September 11, the shuttle bus will be relocated from its current position (the northwest corner of Mackay and Ste-Catherine streets) to the southeast corner of Bishop and De Maisonneuve, in front of Bishop Court.
Access to the J.W. McConnell Library (LB) Building garage and loading docks, as well as to the loading docks for the Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV) and the Guy-Metro building (GM), will remain open from Ste-Catherine Street, while the Mackay annexes will be accessible from Sherbrooke.
