New students who need directions or wonder how to get a student ID card can ask some helpful peers in bright yellow shirts.
For the third year, the Welcome Crew is in action, monitoring key locations at Concordia for lost or confused Concordians. This year’s team consists of almost 50 student volunteers who offer a wealth of information and tips to newcomers until September 14.
Coordinated through the Dean of Students Office, the team is assembled at the end of the summer and is active for the first two weeks of the fall term.
The volunteers have been trained to respond to enquiries but can also share their own experiences as students. They can handle queries ranging from location of the bookstore to the nearest coffee haunts.
