Call for nominations - Advisory search committee for provost and vice-president, academic affairs

Nominations to be received by Tuesday, August 28

In accordance with article 15 of the rules and procedures for senior administrative appointments (Policy BD-5), an advisory search committee for the position of provost and vice-president, academic affairs, has been established.

The associate vice-president of human resources, Carolina Willsher, has been asked to convene the Electoral College for the purpose of nominating one member of the administrative and support staff from units reporting to the provost and vice-president, academic affairs. The incumbent for the committee is nominated in accordance with the Electoral College Policy.

Nominations procedure
Any permanent full- or part-time member of the administrative and support staff from units reporting to the provost and vice-president, academic affairs, may be nominated, make or endorse a nomination.

The nomination form must be signed and agreed to by the candidate and bear the signature of the nominator as well as the endorsement of five additional permanent full- or part-time members of the administrative and support staff.

Candidates must submit a pen sketch, which should include information about why they are interested in serving on the Advisory Search Committee for the position of provost and vice-president, academic affairs.

Please submit nominations and pen sketches by Tuesday August 28, 2012, to Carolina Willsher, associate vice-president, human resources, S-FB 1130 or by fax at ext. 2844. 

Please note the Electoral College will convene on Thursday, August 30, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room MB 14.250 of the John Molson School of Business Building (1450 Guy St.).

The Electoral College will be provided with the submitted pen sketches prior to the meeting. If more information is required from the candidates, interviews will be arranged for Thursday, August 30, 2012. Once the representative has been selected, the candidate's name will be submitted to the secretary of the Board of Governors for ratification.
