In accordance with the policy on the establishment of tribunal hearing pools (Policy BD-6), an Administrative and Support Staff Tribunal Pool (AaSSTP) must be established. This pool is to be comprised of five members who are nominated in accordance with the Electoral College Policy.

The associate vice-president of human resources, Carolina Willsher, has been asked to convene the Electoral College to select these five members for a two year term of office, which will run from September 1, 2012, to August 31, 2014.

Members of the AaSSTP will be called upon to hear complaints filed under the Code of Rights and Responsibilities if the complainant is a member of the administrative and support staff.

Procedure
Any permanent full or part-time member of the administrative and support staff, excluding administrative and support staff members from the Office of the Vice-President, External Relations and Secretary General, the Office of the General Counsel, the Office of Student Tribunals, the Ombuds Office  and the Office of Rights and Responsibilities, may nominate, endorse a nomination or be nominated.

The nomination form must be signed and agreed to by the candidate and bear the signature of the nominator as well as the endorsement of five additional permanent full- or part-time members of the administrative and support staff from a relevant unit.

Candidates must submit a pen sketch, which should include information on why they are interested in serving on the AaSSTP.

Please submit nominations and pen sketches by Tuesday, August 28, 2012 to Carolina Willsher, associate vice-president, human resources, S-FB 1130 or by fax to ext. 2844.

Please note the Electoral College will convene on Thursday, August 30, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room MB 14.250 in the John Molson School of Business Buiding (1450 Guy St.).
