Work resumes Wednesday, August 8 on the sidewalk in front of the Henry F. Hall Building, following the Fantasia International Film Festival’s closing gala. These renovations are expected to be completed by early September, during which time access to the Hall Building from the outdoors will be limited to the Bishop and Mackay street entrances; the underground tunnels will also remain open throughout this phase of work. Please note that access for persons of limited mobility is available via the Bishop Street entrance.
The shuttle bus stop will remain in its current location (northwest corner of Mackay and Ste-Catherine streets) until Friday, September 14.
Meanwhile, with sidewalk renovations surrounding the J.W. McConnell Library Building now substantially complete, two other projects are starting: first, new roadwork begins Monday, August 6 near the John Molson School of Business Building, although building access will not be affected; second, the repaving of De Maisonneuve Boulevard between Bishop and Guy streets will run from August 20 until September 7. While pedestrian traffic will not be impeded, there may be some impact to car and bicycle traffic.
Updates will be provided over the coming weeks.
Questions can be directed to the Service Centre: 514-848-2424, ext. 2400.
