The roadwork being done in front of the Henry F. Hall Building and J.W. McConnell Library is now into its next phase. In addition to installing a permanent bike path and increasing the overall greenery in this part of Quartier Concordia, the sidewalks in front of both buildings will be extended by nearly seven feet; this entire section of De Maisonneuve will also be repaved as part of the process.
Renovations on the north side of De Maisonneuve, between Bishop and Mackay, are expected to continue through June 18, during which time entrances to Henry F. Hall Building will remain open.
Following the completion of preparatory work, Ville de Montreal will begin sidewalk renovations on the south side of the boulevard. Both De Maisonneuve-facing entrances to the McConnell Library Building will be closed as of June 18. Both the Mackay and Bishop entrances will remain open, as will the tunnels running from the Henry F. Hall and Guy-Metro buildings.
Please note that from June 8 to August 31, inclusive, the shuttle bus stop has been relocated to the northwest corner of Mackay and Ste-Catherine, next to the Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV).
Renovations are currently scheduled to carry on throughout summer. Additional information and updates will be provided on a regular basis over the coming months.
