Applications are now being accepted for the Concordia Volunteer Abroad Program (CVAP). Up to 40 students will be selected to support community development in Gulu, Uganda.
After a careful screening process, selected students will be invited to participate in the program. Volunteers must attend a series of seven training sessions in the winter 2012 semester, after which they will be prepared for the eight-week trip over the summer.
CVAP’s goal is to help rebuild communities after years of war in Uganda and to promote education and awareness for disease prevention, with specific focus on HIV-AIDS and malaria.
For more information, including specific information regarding application materials, visit the CVAP website or email info@concordiavolunteers.org.
