From September 19 to 30, a series of fire drills will be conducted in every university-owned building on both campuses, as well as in the FG Building where the university is leasing space.
These drills, part of fire safety awareness weeks at Concordia, are aimed at ensuring that students, faculty and staff are aware of entry and exit points in the event of a fire and advise them of certain safety procedures.
The Department of Environmental Health and Safety invites Concordians to attend safety seminars to learn more about emergency procedures to respond to a dangerous situation, which could involve a fire or chemical spill.
For more information about the fire safety awareness weeks, contact Concordia’s Fire and Public Safety Officer, Normand Lanthier, at 514-848-2424, ext. 4357 or lanthie@alcor.concordia.ca.
